About Summit Editing

Bill Stahl was a reporter for the Daily Pennsylvanian and the Philadelphia Inquirer.  In those days, writers all copy edited other reporters’ articles, giving him his first experience in editing others’ writing.  For many years, Bill was the prep sports writer for ‘Colorado Runner’ magazine.  He began his editing career with David Clark’s best-selling books, Broken Open and Eat Sh*t and Die, as well as editing the audiobook for the latter.

Bill earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, double-majoring in mathematics and natural science, and an MBA in marketing and management information systems from the University of Denver.

Bill is an avid runner, having completed dozens of marathons and ultramarathons, including multiple finishes of the Boston and New York City Marathons, and the Leadville Trail 100-Miler high in the Colorado Rockies.  He sold his i9 Youth Sports business in early 2020 to pursue full-time proofreading of your writing projects.

  • Bill knows sports inside and out, so he is an excellent resource for your sports-themed project.
  • Bill’s liberal arts education and diverse background in business and the computer industry allows him to take on projects in many areas.
  • He is friendly and easy to work with – and he is a stickler when it comes to proofreading!
